Postponed until Friday, thank goodness they called it this afternoon, repeat of last year. Can't risk players getting hurt the first game. Going to be another day of staying home watching the rain. Then running to Queens Friday and Saturday.

and Friday will be warmer!

Just want to wish the family here a Happy Easter! Looks like a mostly overcast weekend with spotty showers possible. In fact, the cloudiness and rain will extend into next week as well. We are heading into a -NAO long range pattern (go figure it comes now instead of during the winter) which will call for a very cool April. Potentially looking at -3 to -5 temp departures for the entire month

April or not this setup is interesting for the local interior. IMO it looks to be dependent on wave spacing between the storm and the Atlantic trough. Nice split flow dual jet (1st pic). Good ridge and western NAO for the storm (second pic), but notice the last picture the system is getting interfered with by the 50/50 trough. That cannot happen for local interior because the ULL needs to be closed off and digging as it approaches the coast. If it opens and tries to reconsolidate it's NE storm. Don't care what surface maps may or may not show it's got to be closed off and pass underneath us for it to work. Very skeptical for now and climatology adds to that.

Keeping an eye on Wednesday evening. Probably a long-shot, but we all know accumulating snow in April isn’t unheard of.

I've seen several big time snows, a foot or more, in April in this area but I just don't see this as the year for it. Will watch with interest though, it wouldn't make up for a lousy winter but it would be a nice way to go out.

Canadian model says we’ll have a shot of snow Wednesday night. Interesting. Other models aren’t quite there yet

Today hitting 56. Any yard work this coming week, any baseball games these parts, and anything outside-looks like rain almost the entire week and a CP/Doc special on Thursday.  Do we not suffer the cluelessness and calumnies and vagaries of the models…

Happy Easter! 00Z Canadian has the ULL further south. It does reconsolidate and gets caught under the 50/50. The Atlantic is a plugged up which aids to the crawl effect. Most likely there will be a decent storm out of this but my thought is interior CNE/NNE is where the sig snow occurs with this. I could see a little bit in our immediate interior but not much. UNLESS that ULL closes off around WV/KY then it's another another matter for our local interior. Anything above Pittsburgh not going to work here.

I had to come check this site out after my friend told me he saw a forecast of 3 to 6 inches of snow for later this week where he lives near Batam Conneticut. Got me Interested to see how close of a shot do we really have for the people on this board N&W of NYC

There already is a warning up for moderate to heavy snow for Bantam, CT on the NWS. The warming says "...increasingly likely...for moderate to heavy snow" and in higher terrains. I do not have a warning in my area. This will be a somewhat heavy to heavy rain event and for some a bit of snow. We all hope we get snow even thought most of us think the winter failed us. However, if the NWS has a warning out already for Bantam then most likely you have things going on Wed night into Thurs. Check back and read what the board says. if you like snow, I hope you get yours.
