Orange Othelia an Epic Poem

To update all that care, I am re-posting the lines from last years tale of Orange County Othelia which ended up being incredibly accurate. Sure science is great, but sometimes folklore and superstition is just better.
According to folklore up here in Orange County, if the ground hog dies the same day as seeing her shadow there will be 10 more weeks of an apocalyptic like winter, massive blizzards and cold through mid April.
Last year our ground hog "Orange County Othelia" or "Orange Othelia" as we refer to her up here, did die on the same day she saw her shadow, and the March 1 through April 15 period was apocalyptic in many areas. To try to get the same result this year, I spiked Othelias ground hog day lunch with cyclophosphamide which should have induced a heart attack the same day. Unfortunately it seems the dose wasn't strong enough and Othelia is at Orange Regional Medical In Middletown right now fighting for her life.
The Orange County executive Office is currently combing through the 10,000 or so lines of the "Tale of Orange County Othelia" to see if this scenario is covered anywhere in the 275 year old epic poem.
If the Orange County Executive office finds anything to pertain to this years scenario, I will post them on this thread.
Below are lines 111 through 126 of the tale of "Orange County Othelia". They proved incredibly accurate last year.
And if Othelia sees her shadow
And on the same day she dies
The snows will get deeper
Than a tall mans thighs
The cold shall remain
Until the Ides of April
The sap will then freeze
On the trees that have maple
To flee to Long Island

Incredibly, the Orange County Executive offices have uncovered 40 lines from the epic Poem "Orange County Othelia" which point to items from today, that seem incredible that the author, still unknown, could even begin to reference from 275 years in the past.
It's eerie to read. Like Nostradamus before him, the author seems to reference people in his future most notably on our Forum. Yes I'm as blown away by that as anyone, my mind was reeling when I read this.
The prediction which hinges on Othelia surviving Saturdays attempted assassination is ominous for Warmacists but for Coldicists it would be heaven.
I leave the interpretation to the reader. However note in the beginning lines that the reference to Othelia 67 is a direct reference to this years Orange County ground hog. Our current Othelia happens to be the 67th ground hog to wear this title since the tradition began ten years after the poem was written in 1742. You can't make this stuff up and it goes way beyond coincidence.
The Tale of Orange County Othelia- Lines 7525 thru 7564
During the reign of Othelia number 67
A sudden illness will almost send her to heaven
She will see her shadow and then grow quite ill
The culprit will be a small white pill
While she fights for her life the weather will be tame
Communications at that time will be looking for blame
A man will appear from the Island quite long
His views on the winter exceedingly strong
Winter is over, he will proclaim to the masses
All who say otherwise are just dumb asses
Some will believe him, but others not so
Another from the Island will say negative AO
It’s not over yet, this animal doctor will say
Othelia will live to see another day
And as for the winter it’s not over yet
At least not according to this Island vet
The weather is now mild but if Othelia survives
Keeping warm after this will require animal hides
A voice from North Jersey will return from Spain
His return will mark the beginning of wintry pain
After February 12 the north wind will blow
And something will go wrong with the MJO
It will stick in a phase that will keep it quite cold
Punishing the young, the middle, and old
Other letters will go to phases that bring us deep snow
Including the elusive negative NAO
Other letters will be mentioned and they all spell doom
Talk of PNA, and EPO will fill every room
As March approaches, the snows will not stop
The depth will approach the lower roof top
Through the middle of March, the cold winds still blow
A man called RB will say I told you so
The change may be late but I said it was coming
Though I had to endure the naysayers drumming
As the month we call March comes to an end
And the snow for the season reaches 110
The man from North Jersey will declare from the mount

The bickering between them has been silly and unwise,
However, this is what you get between two stubborn Italian Island guys.
Now for the first time all winter the two Islanders can actually agree,
For the words ARE pure genius sputtered from the man known as CP.
Now the folk lore of Ophelia may just do the trick,
Bring us all back together despite being sick.
Whether she lives or she dies I hope results of winter does not hang,
I hope the Gods of the white gold may allow us to still go out with a bang.
Now I know the one Islander is truly doing his best,
to save the old rodent from an untimely death.
Regardless of if a snowy rest of winter her survival depends,
The hard working Island vet will continue to try until winters end.
For its not in his nature to give up so easy despite dismal odds,
As long as he see it he'll give snow chances a nod.
Now if the whole winter's a fail and old 67 dies,
Please do not fret for in the wings of next season new improved 68 patiently lies.

CP, was wondering if you paid a visit to the Groundhog Medical ward of the Famous Hogwarts LI Healing and Wellness Facility? How is little Ophelia 67? Im praying for a speedy recovery. I'm wondering what would happen if a volcano somehow popped up in, lets say, Nebraska? Will all that ash result in a resurgent permanent winter? Lets face it, corn is only good for bad carbohydrates and ethanol, which ruins our engines.

Grselig, and all fellow coldicists, I am pleased to tell you I was able to visit Orange Othelia tonight. Just to make things clear, she is at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown and is getting celebrity treatment as befitting her status in this county.
She is currently in stable condition but not yet out of danger. Her doctor informed me they suspect foul play. I was flabbergasted at the thought. Who would even think to harm such a marvelous creature and weather prognosticator. Before I left, I was able to get a photo of Othelia. With her life and winters fate in her hands lets hope for the best.
Othelia wanted to thank you for the armed guards you supplied, a nice touch to protect her from the Warmacists.
Lets give her a hundred Likes so she knows we're pulling for her.

CP, was wondering if you paid a visit to the Groundhog Medical ward of the Famous Hogwarts LI Healing and Wellness Facility? How is little Ophelia 67? Im praying for a speedy recovery. I'm wondering what would happen if a volcano somehow popped up in, lets say, Nebraska? Will all that ash result in a resurgent permanent winter? Lets face it, corn is only good for bad carbohydrates and ethanol, which ruins our engines.
Grselig, and all fellow coldicists, I am pleased to tell you I was able to visit Orange Othelia tonight. Just to make things clear, she is at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown and is getting celebrity treatment as befitting her status in this county.
She is currently in stable condition but not yet out of danger. Her doctor informed me they suspect foul play. I was flabbergasted at the thought. Who would even think to harm such a marvelous creature and weather prognosticator. Before I left, I was able to get a photo of Othelia. With her life and winters fate in her hands lets hope for the best.
Othelia wanted to thank you for the armed guards you supplied, a nice touch to protect her from the Warmacists.
Lets give her a hundred Likes so she knows we're pulling for her.
What an adorable little hedgehog. Sooo cute. I really hope noting happens to #67. Evil people abound.
